Local author John Adam Wasowicz will join us to present and sign his latest mystery for grown-ups, Spite House.

Like the previous six books in Wasowicz's Old Town Mysteries series, Spite House is set here in Old Town Alexandria.

When defense attorney Mo Katz agrees to defend Roxie Neele as she stands accused of murdering her neighbor with a poison cupcake, he discovers that Roxie has an ulterior motive: she believes that together, they can use her legal defense to unmask a serial killer hiding in plain sight.

The book takes its title from the "spite house" in which Roxie lives. Also called alley houses, these narrow structures are known for being built to spite the neighbors. Four of them currently stand in Old Town Alexandria.
