Tuesday, December 31, is the last day Hooray for Books! will be open.

Thus, it is the last day for shopping and picking up special orders; using gift certificates, store credits, and Bookstore Booster Club rewards; and returning or exchanging merchandise.

We will remain closed in 2025, because our landlord is not extending the bookstore’s lease. They have plans to remodel the space for their own use. Hooray for Books! will not be sold or relocating – it’s time to conclude our story.

If you’re wondering what to do if you can’t come in before January 1 to pick up your order; use your gift certificate, store credit, or Bookstore Booster Club reward; or return/exchange merchandise, here’s what we can do for you:

• Special orders – call the store before Jan 8 to pay over the phone and give us a mailing address

• Gift certificates – call the store before Jan 8 to get a refund either on a credit card or by check. If you miss the Jan 8 deadline, mail your gift certificate to the store (it’ll be forwarded to a mail box) and provide the name and address of the person to receive a check refund

• Store credit – call the store before Jan 8 to get a refund by check

• Bookstore Booster Club reward – this is a reward for being a frequent buyer and is not redeemable for cash

• Return/exchange merchandise – all sales are final as of 6 PM Dec31; we’ll be clearing out our space so the landlord can get to work
