Hooray for Books will be selling WWII-related books at the Alexandria-Caen Sister City Committee’s 13th Annual D-Day Commemoration Lecture at the Lyceum, 201 South Washington St., Alexandria.
The lecture’s title is “Women Spies of D-Day.” Dr. Kim Bernard Holien will return to tell us how courageous Allied women provided intelligence that enabled General Eisenhower to break through the Atlantic Wall of Hitler’s Fortress Europe, liberating first Normandy, then France, and finally all of Western Europe.
Tickets to the lecture cost $10 and should be purchased through the City of Alexandria website.
